tuon exists because every tutoring service i tried matched by subject, not by course.

in ontario, MCV4U is not the same as MHF4U. SCH4U is not the same as SCH3U. these aren't trivial differences. they're entirely different curricula, with different teachers, different test formats, different ways of being graded. matching a kid in MCV4U with a tutor strong in MHF4U is, in the worst case, dangerous. in the best case, a waste of $99.

i built tuon to match by exact course code. by school. by what's coming on the next test. by the teacher's name when the family chooses to share it.

i'm reading every match personally for now. when you sign up, i see your intake. when your tutor logs a session note, i see it. if anything goes wrong, you'll talk to me directly. that doesn't scale forever. but it's how i'm starting.
